Founded in 2015 by siblings Olivia and Ethan Parker, Vintage Thread began as a small pop-up shop in Brooklyn's vibrant flea market scene. What started as a passion project to revive forgotten clothing styles from the past has flourished into a brand that celebrates the artistry and sustainability of vintage-inspired fashion.
About Vintage Thread
Our Journey Through Time and Fashion
Our Story
The Parker siblings grew up surrounded by their grandmother's extraordinary collection of garments from the 1940s through the 1980s. Every weekend, they would spend hours exploring her attic, trying on timeless pieces and learning about their history and construction. This early immersion in vintage clothing sparked a lifelong appreciation for quality craftsmanship and timeless design.
After studying fashion design and sustainable textiles respectively, Olivia and Ethan reunited in New York with a shared vision: to create clothing that honors the past while embracing modern, sustainable practices. They began by upcycling vintage garments, giving new life to forgotten treasures with their distinctive pastel color palette and careful reconstructions.
As their following grew, so did their ambitions. In 2017, they launched their first complete collection, "Echoes of Yesterday," which reinterpreted classic silhouettes from the 1950s with contemporary fabrics and construction techniques. The collection was an instant success, gaining attention from fashion publications and sustainable style advocates.
Today, Vintage Thread operates from a light-filled studio in Brooklyn, where a team of skilled artisans create limited-edition pieces that bridge the gap between nostalgia and innovation. Each garment is crafted with attention to detail and a commitment to ethical production practices.
Our Mission & Values

- Sustainable Materials: We prioritize organic, recycled, and low-impact textiles that minimize our environmental footprint.
- Ethical Production: We ensure fair wages and safe working conditions throughout our supply chain.
- Community Education: We share knowledge about vintage techniques and sustainable fashion practices through our workshops and community events.
- Circularity: We design with the full lifecycle in mind, creating pieces that can be repaired, upcycled, and eventually biodegraded.

Sophia Ramirez

"As someone who has been collecting vintage clothing for over a decade, I'm incredibly impressed by Vintage Thread's attention to historical accuracy while still creating wearable, contemporary pieces. The Memory Lane Jacket I purchased perfectly captures the essence of 1970s outerwear but with modern fit and functionality."
Daniel Watkins

"What sets Vintage Thread apart is their commitment to both aesthetic and ethics. Their pattern-making workshop completely transformed how I approach my own wardrobe. I now have the skills to modify thrifted pieces to fit perfectly, extending the life of clothing that might otherwise end up in a landfill. Their educational approach is truly revolutionary."
Eleanor Kim

"I discovered Vintage Thread through their natural dyeing workshop, and I've been a devoted customer ever since. Not only are their pieces beautifully made and uniquely styled, but I also love knowing exactly who made my clothes and what materials went into them. Their transparency is refreshing in an industry often shrouded in secrecy."
